Habitat is offshore waters along continental shelfs or inshore along deep ocean canyons.
At seven to eight feet in length and three hundred pounds or more when mature White-Sided are a large dolphin species.
Most often found off the coast of Southern California from about October through March but can be spotted year round.
Prey on anchovies squid herring and salmon.
Also sometimes called Lags due to their hard to pronounce scientific name of Lagenorhynchus.
Range: Gulf of Alaska to Baja California
Species: Lagenorhynchus obliquidenus
