Abundant dolphin often found in large groups. Habitat is offshore waters along continental shelfs.

Off San Diego in the summer they are often seen in association with Yellowfin Tuna.

They are considered a medium sized dolphin with individuals ranging to about seven feet in length.

Range: Newfoundland to South America - British Columbia to equator
