The Mojave Desert is the driest desert in North America.
It is in located within southeastern California, southern Nevada, with small areas in Utah and Arizona.
It is the smallest desert in North America covering less than 50,000 square miles. It is bounded by Joshua Trees, which are native only to the Mojave Desert.
If you drive between Southern California and Las Vegas, you will pass through the Mojave Desert.
The Desert includes high and low deserts. Most notable is Death Valley which is the lowest elevation in North America at 300 feet below sea level, as well as one of the Mojave’s harshest climates.
