Brydes (Pronounced broo-dess) Whales are a unique member of the rorqual family.
Freediver captures a surprise appearance by a Brydes on a Sardine baitball.
They are baleen feeders but rather than clouds of tiny Krill they feed exclusively on baitfish such as Anchovy Herring Sardine and Mackerel. They also prefer tropical inshore waters over the polar oceans.
Range: Found worldwide is tropical and subtropical oceans.
