Blue Whales normally travel as individuals or in small groups of two or three animals, but in areas where krill are plentiful they can be found feeding in groups of 50 or more.
A Baleen whale, the blue whales is believed to be the largest animal to have ever lived.
They can reach lengths of over 90 feet and attain weights of 150 tons or more.
They feed almost exclusively on huge amounts of tiny shrimp like crustaceans called krill.
Range: Found worldwide. In the Pacific Ocean they range from the Arctic to the Gulf of Mexico
