The Brush Rabbit is smaller than most other cottontails at about ten inches in length.
They mainly inhabits coastal chaperral areas prefering dense brushy cover.
Not a true cottontail as the underside of its tail is gray rather than white.
Fur color is variable from light grey to tan and brown underside is always white.
Range: Coastal from Oregan to Southern Baja Mexico
