Can be found at the surface apparently sunning themselves. Once in this position Seagulls will land on them to pick off parasites.
Ocean sunfish feed on jellyfish and other plankton. They can weigh up to 3000 pounds and are often found beneath drift kelp.
The Ocean Sunfish is the heaviest known bony fish in the world.
Range: Warm and temperate seas of the world. Moves inshore off California during summer months
