 Blue Whale Spout

A Blue Whale exhales upon surfacing, producing the large characteristic spout. On calm days the mist formed spout can rise thirty feet or more in height and be easily seen from several miles away. After breathing at the surface for several minutes, Blue Whales will often dive and stay submerged for ten to fifteen minutes or more at a time.
