 Gray Whale

A Gray Whale rolls and displays its fluke while beginning a dive off Mission Beach San Diego. Each year Gray Whales pass by Southern California on their annual migration to and from the lagoons along the west coast of Baja Mexico. They cover over 6000 miles starting in Alaska and traveling down along the coasts of Canada the United States and Mexico. Females give birth to their calves in the warm shallow waters of the lagoons.
