Brydes Whale (Pronounced broo-dess)
Brydes Whales are a unique member of the rorqual family. They are bayleen feeders but rather than clouds of tiny Krill they feed exclusively on baitfish such as Anchovy Herring Sardine and Mackerel. They also prefer tropical inshore waters over the polar oceans.

Leopard Shark Images
Leopard Shark
The Leopard Shark is an extremely shy animal and a complete non threat to humans. They seem to have a reputation at the beach likely because of the more aggressive and unrelated Tiger Shark. Leopards are bottom feeders and often swim along the sand just outside the surf line having to dodge bathers feet all day during the summer. A chance to see these sharks from a kayak or while snorkeling should not be missed.

Guadalupe Fur Seal with Cookiecutter Shark Bite
This is a fresh Cookiecutter Shark bite. The shark must not of had a clean bite as normally a perfectly round plug of flesh is removed. This bite shows a flap of skin remaining. Although an ugly wound the unlucky recipient normally heals leaving only a minor scar.
