Beaked Whale Carcass Pictures
Beaked Whale Carcass
Beaked whales are very rarely seen and little is known about them. Most of what is known has been learned from the examination of the few carcasses such as this one which are found drifting or most often washed up on shore. This animal was about 18 to 20 feet in length and could be one of three or four species. Possibly Mesoplodon ginkgodens or stejnegeri.
