Blue Shark Underwater This animal was a pleasant surprise. A female at a length of well over seven feet. Yosemite - Giant Sequoia Trees Giant Sequoias can reach heights of 270 feet or more. Their bark which can be as much as two feet thick protects them from forest fires and almost all insects. Kelp Forest Kelp is commercially harvested for Algin a compound used as a smoothing agent in hundreds of products. A few examples include cosmetics salad dressings canned foods and frozen foods such as ice cream. Only the upper canopy is cut away much like mowing a lawn.
