One of those days when you arrive at a location and the light is 180 degrees out from where you would like. Given the harsh lighting I had pretty much put the camera away when I realized maybe there was a composition that could work. Out came the 16mm fisheye and by stopping down to f11 the lens aperture blades helped produce the sun star pattern. What better composition than the Palomar Observatory with our closest star in the background.
