Granite boulders Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park

These large granite boulders are called the mushroom rocks, found a short distance in on the Buena Vista Trail. This is a somewhat overlooked trail in the park as its on the south side of the highway away from the big views to the north east. But if an hour or so is taken to leave your car, the short mile and quarter walk in will be reworded with these interesting granite formations, many species of wildflowers in the spring and summer and as promised by its name, a beautiful view to the southwest at the end of the trail.
